pocket money spree...

...here's what I spent my pocket money on this week....

...over the next month or so, when ever I finally manage to find a little space in the diary, I will be posting a new little 'vintage store' linked to the web site selling a little selection of my vintage finds - perfect for reception styling.... keep watching....

it's 10pm.......

...it's 10pm and I have been sat here 'blog brownsin' for the last hour, and for those of you who have an addiction to daily readings will know that it is bloomin hard work to try and drag yourself away when you have much more exciting domestic goddess duties to entertain you on a Tuesday evening. This is the down side to having your studio attached to your house, I should have walked back through the studio door into No17 about an hour ago (which is the time that I promised my very patient husband I would finish), but not only have I been indulging for the last hour I have now decided to extend my time in here and show you a few of my findings to hopefully inspire you slightly - that is if you are still idea searching or looking for that ideal 'colour palette envy'....

blissful sunday evenings

...just finished my 'to do' list for next week, made myself a pot of tea and sat (feet up) with the new Country Living magazine, house finally in silence...bliss pure bliss....If your gathering of ideas for your big day is based around the english ritual of cake and tea making, cabbage roses, chinaware and gingham, you may want to take a little purchase of this months CL magazine (June) edition. Yes ladies, (and gents) I'm talking home made 'fondant fancies' - if the photo doesn't seduce you the recipe will......loving the simplicity of the rose petals and cotton flower. Could be a fabulous idea to replace the more traditional idea of a favour. Give each guest a little tea plate with a selection of your freshly baked goods. (of course, of course, you will have much more glamourous things to do the evening before your wedding - but I am sure you have an army of friends and family who would get all messed up for the pure love of artistry in the kitchen...for little ol' moi).... can feel my sweet tooth calling...

winter's palette

'the winter's palette'
...above sits the brush marks of colours that we are guiding clients towards for this winter's season. Still using our signature chalks and cheek pinched blushes
mixed with a natural french kissed palette...

up to my eyes in cardboard

...sat at my desk, feeling a little confused (which is normal!), working through my routine that Thursday always brings, thinking it can't be a week since I was last sat filing, accounting, proofing,....the studio is a wash of boxes all containing 'freshly baked' orders ready to be wrapped in tissue, labelled and dispatched.

Since I have been posting regularly over at the studio snippets blog (here you can see daily/weekly pics from the studio) I feel that I been a bit neglectful here for a while. All to change. Lots of new sampling to show soon. We also have a selection of vintage labels and 'little finds' that would enhance the styling of your reception which we will either post for sale on the blog or place on the 'paper store'. We are just about to paste these, seen below, onto vintage medicine bottles, for our next series of photographs. So keep watching as these will also be going up for grabs (at a price!!) very soon.
