I'd wake up at my old house in the Lake District about 4am, some pixies would
have packed me a lunchbox and I'd sneak out of the house before dawn. It's a
fifteen minute walk to the forest and I'd wander along the old paths I know
quietly enough to see deer, rabbits and a badger before breakfast. I'd sit on a
mountaintop to watch the sunrise and eat my pixie-packed lunch. I love nature
and I used to do this all the time (without the pixies) - it fires me creatively
and makes me feel so free. Nothing's better than escaping into nature.
...to escape to - as above. The quiet west coast of Cumbria on the edge of the Lake
District: sea on one side, mountains on the other. This is what home means to me
and I'm far away at the moment but one day I'll settle back there.

with a cup of tea and a ginger biscuit.
I get to chat to different people online every single day, and there's always
someone I haven't heard from before who will knock me for six with a brilliant
idea or an amazing strength or creativity. So my inspiration comes from
everywhere, and from someone different every day.
the soundtrack would be by
Frank Turner - "Once we were Anarchists"
and I'd like
America Ferrera (Ugly Betty) to play me.
She has the bumbling, happy love of
life I do!
I love Paul Antonio's calligraphy blog - he doesn't update it often but when he
does it's pure gold. A real insight into the work of a top calligrapher with the
most beautiful pictures of his work, trade secrets and every now and then a very
interesting little grumble about workloads and corporate clients. Paul's a real
inspiration.
gotta be the paws!
