At the end of last year I attended a 3 month mentoring training programme for businesses from the Art and Design with Middlesbrough Council and CIDA (Cultural Industries Development Agency). As explained above I have also been self employed for 14 years and have a wealth of experience running my own business. From selling at trade fairs, to seling as a retailer online, working with magazines, organising photo shoots, producing business plans, costings, working from an outside studio, working from a home studio, balancing family life, networking and lots of fine details that come with being self employed.
Sometimes in the beginning we just need an ear, someone who understands the process and you can explore and discuss ideas, someone who can help you develop, progress and plan the route you wish to take. Whether you require only one initial mentoring session or it becomes part of your business development to meet 4 times a year. You also control the content of the session, it may be extended product development, trade fair planning, marketing possibilities etc.... You will be invoiced so it will be part of your business expenses.
There are two routes.
Route 1 - a one-off session
You can opt for a two hour session 10am-12noon
or 12.30-2.30pm - £50
or a four hour session 10am-2.30pm (inc half hour break) - £90
You can also block book for a series of mentoring dates
