studio details

You may or may not know that I have been working with the wonderful and very inspirational photographer Becky Mitchell on a little project which we have been planning since last Summer which eventually took place in January this year.
We have spent hours discussing the idea concerning two photo shoots which we set up, styled and shot within only two days.  We have spent hours, days, months in meetings to select a wonderful collection of suppliers who we felt would compliment our ideas (full list of suppliers and venue can be seen in the links below).  The full set of imagery is not released to 'moi' until a couple of weeks as it travels around the UK and US.  But YOU can see the collection by popping over to Love My Dress vintage wedding blog to see the full Rigwood Manor shoot and take a little trip also to Brides Up North to see the beautiful collection of imagery from the Amaryllis & Lace shoot.  There will also be a feature coming to Brides Up North soon that details the Behind the Scenes of Rigwood Manor - that is certainly not worth missing my lovelies!!!
But what I do want to say is that I have never worked with such a professional, loving, supportive, warm, and fun group of people.  We have laughed so much, I have cried ' happy tears'.  Myself and Becky have made, not only, fabulous professional contacts but also 'new life long friends' too.  We are very proud of each and everyone for their commitment to this project and seriously from our hearts we love you very much.  A very simple THANK YOU.  And for those of you have got to know me over the last few months a simple 'thank you' does not come easy to me as I can wittle on for hours!!!!
So keep checking back to see some of the pics that were also not shown on the blogs and some wonderful behind the scenes shoots and videos......

Long lie-ins and snuggly beds, luxurious lunches and japes with friends, snoozing and reading, cuddling and laughing, winding country roads and no destination, sunshine, good times, boogie.

Watching back to back episodes of The Big Bang Theory. I love me some geeks!

This is going to sound like a cross between a hippy and an 18th century poet, but I'm actually currently inspired by the fact that the days are getting longer. Sunset is my favourite time of day to write and particularly love a sky streaked with the most fantastic colours as the sun disappears.

Well I can tell you that I would NOT allow Anne Hathaway to play me as people have said that we look similar, but I think she's an insipid actress and can't stand her! Soundtrack is a really tough one but I think I'm going to choose "Ooh La La' by Rod Stewart. If you ask me again tomorrow however, I'll probably have changed my mind...

just because....

image credit : Becky Mitchell taken in The Sitting Room

Today leads to a very exciting evening...

...last August I met the wonderful Mrs Mitchell at a 'soiree'...we chatted about working together,  as we lived only a few miles as the crow flies from each other..... We planned to style a table and take some images of my stationery....did that happen.....of course not!

What  happened was a 'styling festival' that you would expect to see on the pages of a life style glossy...So from a little acorn grew an oak tree full of leaves of colour and pattern and pure gorgeousness and the 'Rigwood Manor' saga began.

So this evening an enormous gathering of creative folk are to meet at Becky's (and not forgetting Mr Bob Mitchell's) Photography Gallery 'Profile' and 'The Sitting Room' Tea Shop as we participate in a 'Sherry Soiree' of sorts and show to all involved the final collection of photographs....

Oh, what's that I hear you say.  You would like to see it too?  Well you won't have to wait long.
There will be an exclusive showing on the inspirational wedding blog
'Love My Dress' on Wednesday 15th February.....
